The research was conducted on 49 men who were all regularly strength trained who were assigned to two groups. One group was to take 500mg of fenugreek extract in supplement form every day while the other group was on a placebo. The study lasted for 8 weeks which included a 4 day per week upper and lower body workouts. the study showed that the men who were on fenugreek supplements showed increase in lean body mass and a reduction of body fat percentage.
Fenugreek is also known to fight insulin resistance, cholesterol levels and increase liver health.
